Rust, corrosion, battery short and liquid in the screen are the 4 major reasons a phone will not work after being dropped in any form of liquid. Salt water can be the worst as the rust will start as soon as the air and salt mix, so don't wait get it in to us at your first chance.

Not all Water Damaged devices can be repaired we DO NOT charge if we cannot fix it. Most water damage repairs will need a screen and a battery. The LCD screen is made up of several layers and liquid will get between these layers and cannot be removed so the LCD will need replacing. The Battery can be damaged due to a short in the cell and will need to be replaced.

The "rice" trick

This can work but can also backfire as the rice will dehydrate all fluids but it will replace the fluids will mineral deposits that can further damage you device and make it non repairable so we do not recommend this.

If you can obtain drying agent like the little packets that come with new electronics these are far better to use.
